Celebrity nutritionist Rujuta Diwekar took to Instagram to outline four key practices to prevent strains or injuries in any part of the body.

  1. **Don’t exercise on an empty stomach; consume a fruit 15 minutes prior.**

Diwekar emphasizes the importance of not working out on an empty stomach. Eating a banana before exercising can enhance calorie burning during the workout.

  1. **Don’t skip warm-up; dedicate 10-12 minutes to stretching. Allow your muscles and joints to prepare for the workout.**

Warm-up is crucial to avoid shocking the body with a rigorous exercise routine. Proper stretching helps alert your bones, tendons, ligaments, and joints to the upcoming physical activity, reducing the risk of injury.

  1. **Avoid repeating the same exercise the next day. Provide a break for your neuro-muscular pathways.**

  1. **Do not exercise every day; allow your body at least one day of rest per week.**
